Blogger Challenge Day 30 ~ FINALLY!

Day 30- Who are you?

I'm Margaret, nicknames Peggy or Sissy. Soon to be Mommy! I'm 31 years old and finally marrying the man of my dreams in 2 weeks! I am a medical biller and coder. I've been at a CCRC for almost 3 years now. I love what I do, not necessarily who I work with. I have a almost 5 year old Corgi, BOOMER! I don't know what I would do with out him. He got my through my divorce. Other than that I'm pretty boring!

Blogger Challenge Day 29

Day 29- In this past month, what have you learned

I have learned that this takes a lot longer than a month. Today is 7/28 and I started this 30 day challenge on 6/9!

I learned that I'm pregnant! And I've learned that your friends are always your friends.

Blogger Challenge Day 28

Day 28- A picture of you last year and now, how have you changed since then

I don't take pictures so this isn't gonna happen!

Blogger Challenge Day 27

Day 27- Why are you doing this 30 day challenge

I thought this would give me something to write about when I was stuck. And that maybe it would make me think of things I otherwise wouldn't.

Blogger Challenge Day 26

Day 26- What you think about your friends

I really don't have any friends. And no, I'm not just saying that. I've been hurt alot in the past and I have a wall up now, again.

Blogger Challenge Day 25

Day 25- What I would find in your bag

A lot of shit! I keep everything in there and never clean it out. I'm so bad.

My wallet
Date book
My ipod charger (no clue why)
Cough Drops
Hand Sanitizer
Pens
Ginger Pills
Camera
Band Aids
Tums
Tylenol
Fiber One snacks
Perfume
Receipts

Blogger Challenge Day 24

Day 24- A letter to your parents

Yeah ~ i'm not really feeling this one. I talk to them all the time.

The Hottest Baby Names of 2011

What are the hottest new baby names this year? Based on an analysis of over 23 million page views at Nameberry since January, we’ve pegged these choices as the Hottest Names of 2011.
It’s a surprising list, driven by unexpected celebrities, rediscovered classics, and the year’s most compelling events.
Nameberry’s Hottest Baby Names of 2011:

Pippa – It wasn’t only Pippa Middleton’s bottom that attracted widespread attention at the Royal Wedding; her name – both the familiar Pippa and the more formal Philippa – is the Number 1 hottest baby name of the year on Nameberry. Pippa ranks 35 on our most-searched list so far this year and did not appear at all among the 200 most popular girls’ names of 2010. While Kate is up too, it’s not nearly as hot.

Asher – The soft, Biblical Asher takes the Hottest Boys’ Name spot by virtue of having unseated Henry as the all-time Number 1 name for boys on Nameberry. For the first time in 2011, Asher has pulled ahead.

Elula – New celebrity baby name trend: Parents choose attention-getting name, then refuse to reveal the name they’ve picked, perhaps to heighten interest and publicity? This unusual choice of Isla Fisher and Sasha Baron Cohen for their second daughter was not even in our database last year – it’s a name drawn from the Hebrew calendar — and now is the Number 38 most-searched name on Nameberry.

Everett – In a groundbreaking baby name move that feminists can applaud, boys’ names are for the first time being pushed into the limelight by the popularity of their female counterparts. Everett, up 50 places on our most-searched list, was inspired by such stylish girls’ choices as Eva and Evelyn.

Hadley – The success of the bestselling novel The Paris Wife has catapulted the intriguing name of Hemingway’s first wife, Hadley Richardson, 50 spots up our list.

Arlo – Why does a star’s name sometimes languish for years, inspiring few little namesakes, and then suddenly, for no discernible reason having to do with the original star, take off? It happened most notably in the past decade with Ava, and now it’s happening with Arlo. Other o-ending names for boys heating up: Nico, Hugo, Otto. (Yes, Otto.)

Mila – It’s the name of a gorgeous young star, Mila Kunis, PLUS it resembles a handful of trendy names — Mia, Maya, Lila — that are due for a break. The result: A breakout baby name.

FlynnFinn is already hot, but cousin Flynn, baby name choice of Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr, is taking off. This one also nods to the Golden Age of Hollywood and Errol Flynn.
Ada, Adele, Adeline, Adelaide – If it’s a vintage girls’ name that starts with Ad-, it can’t miss this year, it seems. All these choices are leapfrogging up the list, taking over where too-trendy cousins Ava and Addison left off.

Archer – Literary baby names are hot right now, especially when they’re not too literary: Think Holden, Atticus, and yes (more on this in a moment) Harper. Archer, as in Henry JamesPortrait of a Lady and Edith Wharton’s Age of Innocence, is perfect: It’s unusual, classic yet contemporary-feeling, and there’s little danger of anyone actually having read the books.

Luna – The Beckhams picked the yawn-inducing Harper for their daughter, but we can’t call that one of the hottest names of 2011 because it was already one of the hottest names of 2010, when nearly 3000 non-celebrity baby girls were called Harper. And Seven is just too….weird. The real hottie launched by the Beckham name quest was otherworldly Luna, the name rumored to be their pick for most of Posh’s pregnancy.

Mariano Rivera

There is a current pitcher in Major League Baseball who has Philippians 4:13
written on his baseball glove. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" NKJV

In the big leagues he is known as the ultimate closer of baseball games. When he has closed a game as a win --- it is called a save. A pitcher earns a save by entering in the ninth inning of a game in which his team is winning by three or fewer runs and closes or finishes the game without losing the lead. Currently he has a career total 583 saves and is poised to become the all-time save leader in baseball. Quite an accomplishment since Baseball has been played in the USA since the time of the Civil War.

This same major league pitcher is a known Christian who is spearheading the saving of an old church building. He desires to use it for youth work.

And this same major league pitcher has a heart for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to disadvantaged youth in his native country of Panama and here in the USA. One can sense he would like them all saved.

The Major League Baseball Pitcher and future Hall of Famer is Mariano Rivera. The Ace saver for the New York Yankees. He is a twelve time Major League Baseball All-Star and five time World Series Champion. Mariano currently ranks first all-time in games finished with 860 and won World Series MVP in 1999 and ALCS MVP in 2003.

Jesus saves --- and it appears Mariano takes it seriously when his Lord and savior asks in Acts 16:31b --- "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved" NCV

Mariano says he will work philanthropically after his baseball career through his Mariano Rivera Foundation. "We have a lot of goals to work with the youth," said Rivera. "That is my passion. We are working hard to make it open (renovated church) as soon as possible."

Morning sickness...my ass!

It should be called All Day, Everyday sickness. Because that's what I got! And on top of it, the feeling of my skin crawling isn't fun. The doctor is putting me back on Wellbutrin to help with that. She said it's a Category B drug so I will be ok. I know I need something. Now that I've been on it for 4 days, it's starting to kick in. Until now, all I could do was go in the pool to help it, but then the anxiety of just getting out what getting to be too much. I haven't actually thrown up in a few days so that is a plus! The new anti-puking pill they wanted to give me was $200! Umm no thank you, I'll puke for $200. I'm trying to actually work 8 hour days this week. I'm about to hit the half way point today, and I have a feeling the second half isn't going to be so easy!!!!

Saturday was my Bridal Shower. Thank you to those who came. I had a good time. I spent almost the whole time in Jen's pool. She made me get out to cut the cake, but then I was right back in. And then I had to get out again to open presents. And then back in I went. People delivered pickles to me pool side! I only ate pickles and cake. YUMMY! And I got more water in that day than I have in a long time.

I was so exhausted from Saturday. I don't know how though since I woke up at 8:30 and then took a nap from 10 til 1:30. Then I took a shower and then went back to sleep from 2 til 3:30 when I had to leave for Jen's. As soon as I got home I was ready for bed again. I fell asleep at 10! I'm so lazy and tired all the time. So Sunday I didn't do nothing! Watched a disc of Sopranos with Mike, half way through the 3rd episode, I had to take a nap. 3 hours later we finished the DVD. When I need to sleep I need to sleep!!!

Lazy...or is it something else????

I have been absolutely horrible in updating my blog. And that definitely has been like me in the last few months. But I guess it's from a couple of things. 1. I'm always EXHAUSTED! 2. I  can't concentrate at work. So for the little bit that I can, I need to actually work. BLEH! and 3. I just don't know what to say. I guess I'm still in shock.

I'M PREGNANT!

We found out on July 4th. Had it confirmed by a doctor on July 8th. And the first ultra sound is 8/2!

So Cute!

Babies will do everything they can to keep you from sleeping.
And they'll do this for well over a year.
They'll throw up on your sweater, in your hair, and all over your car.
They'll not only poop in their pants.
They'll poop on your pants.
They'll pull your hair, and quite literally bite the hand that feeds them.
They will talk non stop between the ages of 6 and 9.
But they won't say a single word to you once they turn 13.
And when they do, it'll likely involve disagreeing at rather high volumes.
Still, you will love them like nothing else.
And you will do anything and everything to keep them happy, and healthy.
And so will we.
At Kaiser Permanente, we offer the tools the family needs to grow up and grow old together.
From prenatal care, to postnatal care, to pediatric care, and beyond.
Because although there's nothing that makes us crazier than our kids, there's nothing that makes us happier either.
Kaiser Permanente, may your family live long and thrive.

Blogger Challenge Day 23

Day 23- Something you crave for a lot

Blogger Challenge Day 22

Day 22- What makes you different from everyone else

I don't know if this is a question that friends should answer instead. For those of you who truly know me, this next picture will say it all :)

Blogger Challenge Day 21

Day 21- A picture of something that makes you happy

Blogger Challenge Day 20

Day 20- Someone you see yourself marrying/being with in the future

My fiance! August 13th!

Blogger Challenge Day 19

Day 19- Nicknames you have; why do you have them

Peggy - EVERYONE asks me how Peggy is a nickname for Margaret. I don't know. All I know is that it's in a book and that my dad is the one who picked it. LOL!!!

Sissy - Victoria started calling me Sissy as soon as she could talk. And it's just stuck, most of my family calls me Sissy now and it's weird if any of them call me Peggy.

Blogger Challenge Day 18

Day 18- Plans/dreams/goals you have

Getting married to the man I love in August is really the only goal/plan/dream I have.

Blogger Challenge Day 17

Day 17- Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why

Does anyone need a reason for wanting to be Jack??? Not really. Even after being tortured he can still kick your ass!

I believe...

I Believe...
That just because two people argue, It doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue, It doesn't mean they do love each other.

I Believe...
That we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I Believe...
That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you, every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I Believe...
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything they have.

I Believe...
That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I Believe...
That you will do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I Believe...
That that people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.

I Believe...
That it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I Believe...
That you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I Believe...
That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I Believe...
That you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I Believe...
That we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I Believe...
That even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.

I Believe...
That either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I Believe...
That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I Believe...
That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

I Believe...
That my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

I Believe...
That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones who help you get back up.

I Believe...
Two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I Believe...
That somestimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I Believe...
That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I Believe...
That you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

I Believe...
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I Believe...
No matter how bad your heart is broken, the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I Believe...
That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but, we are responsible for who we become.

WTF with the comments part 2!

If you stop by PLEASE leave comments!!!

Mouthwash...Ok?

The ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans freshened their breath by chewing eucalyptus leaves and cinnamon sticks.

There are two main kinds of mouthwash: therapeutic and cosmetic. Therapeutic rinses help prevent cavities, gingivitis, and other oral health problems. Cosmetic mouthwashes temporarily freshen breath.

Generally, mouthwashes are made of materials for strong flavor dilution, such as alcohol and water. The rest of the liquid contains antibacterial agents, flavorings, soaps, and dyes for color.

The popular mouthwash known as Listerine was first used as a surgical antiseptic by a doctor named Joseph Lister before it was commercialized as mouthwash.

Alcohol-based oral rinses are often used for other tasks, including combating foot fungus, sprucing up unkempt lawns, and cleaning computer screens, although there are no conclusive studies about their effectiveness.

Americans spend about $2 billion a year on dental products, including mouthwash.

A common use of mouthwash is to eliminate or mask bad breath; consistent bad breath is called "halitosis."

A 2010 market survey reported that only 44% of consumers bought the brand of mouthwash they most wanted; the others switched to less costly generics.
