Lyrics that Mean Something to Me ~ Thursday

Kelly Clarkson ~ Breakaway

Because of You

I will not make the same mistakes that you did
I will not let myself
Cause my heart so much misery
I will not break the way you did,
You fell so hard
I've learned the hard way
To never let it get that far

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid

I lose my way
And it's not too long before you point it out
I cannot cry
Because I know that's weakness in your eyes
I'm forced to fake
A smile, a laugh everyday of my life
My heart can't possibly break
When it wasn't even whole to start with

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid

I watched you die
I heard you cry every night in your sleep
I was so young
You should have known better than to lean on me
You never thought of anyone else
You just saw your pain
And now I cry in the middle of the night
For the same damn thing

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I try my hardest just to forget everything
Because of you
I don't know how to let anyone else in
Because of you
I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty
Because of you
I am afraid

Because of you
Because of you

37 Weeks ~ FULL TERM!

How your baby's growing:

Your baby is now considered "full term," even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, his lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb. (Some babies need a bit more time, though. So if you're planning to have a repeat c-section, for example, your practitioner will schedule it for no earlier than 39 weeks unless there's a medical reason to intervene earlier.)
Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.

Riley Update!

As of now I go to the doctor every week. UGH! And the appointments are almost an hour and a half! First I get an UltraSound. So they are always checking the size of the baby. As of Wednesday she weighed 6 pounds and 9 ounces. That could totally explain why I'm in more pain and feel like I'm carrying a bowling ball. After that they do a NST (non stress test). It is supposed to take 15 minutes. They are just looking at the heart rate. But if you lose the heart rate then you keep going until you get enough of a reading. Wednesday I was on the machine for 30 minutes. She just didn't want to cooperate. It looks like at rest she is 127 and they said it's pretty good. Then of course you have to have the regular check up with the doctor. This appointment I had to have the Group B Strep Test. Let me just tell you, they should really warn you about that test before they give it. I know it has to be done, but for the love of all things holy, a warning would have been nice! Now I just wait for the results!!!

Heart Attack Grill

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
The Heart Attack Grill in downtown Las Vegas lived up to its name Saturday night, when a customer dining on a "triple bypass burger" suffered an apparent heart attack. Amateur video of the man being wheeled out of the restaurant by EMTs was posted to several web sites. "He was having the sweats and shaking," said ‘Nurse' Bridgett, who was working at the restaurant when the man in his 40s began experiencing chest pains.
"Doctor" Jon Basso, who opened the restaurant in October, told FOX5 at first he thought it was a joke.

"One of the nurses came back to me and said, ‘Dr. Jon, we've got a patient who's in trouble.'" The restaurant is known for not holding back on the food it serves. Signs around the business glorify bad eating habits and the menu includes items like Flatliner Fries, and Butterfat Milkshakes. One meal, the "quadruple bypass burger" can easily exceed 8,000 calories. The gentleman who suffered the heart attack was in the middle of eating a Triple Bypass burger when he began experiencing the symptoms. Despite the clinical atmosphere, Basso is not actually a medical doctor, so he called 911. Paramedics and EMTs arrived in moments.
"The gentleman could barely talk," said Basso. "He was sweating, suffering. Anyone with an ounce of compassion would've felt for him."

Basso tells FOX5 he has heard the man is alive and recuperating. His name is still unknown. The staff at the Heart Attack Grill willingly glorifies bad health. If you weigh over 350 pounds, you eat for free. And on Saturday night, Basso saw the other side. "I actually felt horrible for the gentleman because the tourists were taking photos of him as if it were some type of stunt. Even with our own morbid sense of humor, we would never pull a stunt like that," he said. Tourists were disheartened, but not entirely surprised to hear about the incident. "I don't think I would walk into a place, even if it's called the Heart Attack Grill, and order food, and expect that I was going to have a heart attack," said Las Vegas resident Debbie Kaye. Customers, however, continued eating the burgers, fries, and shakes Tuesday night. "It says right on the door, it's hazardous to your health," diner CJ Beeman pointed out. Basso said there have been a ‘variety of incidents' in the past, but this is the first full-scale coronary that happened in his restaurant.

Lyrics that Mean Something to Me ~ Thursday

ADELE21 ~ Love Song (originally by The Cure)

[Verse 1:]
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am home again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am whole again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am young again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am fun again

[Chorus:]
However far away I will always love you
However long I stay I will always love you
Whatever words I say I will always love you
I will always love you

[Verse 2:]
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am free again
Whenever I'm alone with you
You make me feel like I am clean again

[Chorus:]
However far away I will always love you
However long I stay I will always love you
Whatever words I say I will always love you
I will always love you

However far away I will always love you
However long I stay I will always love you
Whatever words I say I will always love you

I'll always love you
I'll always love you
Cause I love you

36 Weeks

How your baby's growing:

Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement.
At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Most likely she's in a head-down position. But if she isn't, your practitioner may suggest scheduling an "external cephalic version," which is a fancy way of saying she'll try to coax your baby into a head-down position by manipulating her from the outside of your belly.

Lyrics that Mean Something to Me ~ Thursday

ADELE21 ~ One and Only

You've been on my mind
I grow fonder every day,
Lose myself in time
Just thinking of your face
God only knows
Why it's taken me so long
To let my doubts go
You're the only one that I want

I don't know why I'm scared, I've been here before
Every feeling, every word, I've imagined it all,
You never know if you never try
To forgive your past and simply be mine

I dare you to let me be your, your one and only
Promise I'm worthy to hold in your arms
So come on and give me a chance
To prove that I'm the one who can
Walk that mile until the end starts

I've been on your mind
You hang on every word I say
Lose yourself in time at the mention of my name
Will I ever know how it feels to hold you close?
And have you tell me whichever road I choose you'll go

I don't know why I'm scared 'cause I've been here before
Every feeling, every word, I've imagined it all,
You'll never know if you never try
To forgive your past and simply be mine

I dare you to let me be your, your one and only
I promise I'm worthy to hold in your arms
So come on and give me a chance
To prove that I'm the one who can
Walk that mile until the end starts

I know it ain't easy
Giving up your heart
I know it ain't easy
Giving up your heart

(Nobody's perfect, trust me I've learned it)
I know it ain't easy, giving up your heart
(Nobody's perfect, trust me I've learned it)
I know it ain't easy, giving up your heart

I know it ain't easy
Giving up your heart
I know it ain't easy
Giving up your heart

So I dare you to let me by your, your one and only
I promise I'm worthy to hold in your arms
So come on and give me a chance
To prove that I'm the one who can
Walk that mile until the end starts
Come on and give me a chance
To prove that I'm the one who can
Walk that mile until the end starts.

35 Weeks!

How your baby's growing:

Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.

Baby!

Hubby went out while I was sleeping and got me the Newborn Rock 'n Play Sleeper I wanted! It's the snuggled bunny one so it comes with an ultra plush snuggler insert that has bunny ears and a bunny rattle!

It's officially Mike Day

As everyone in the world knows, today is Super Bowl Sunday. Giants vs Patriots. Mike is a HUGE Giants fan, so he's obviously very excited. But what everyone probably doesn't know, is that today is also Mikes birthday. So its like a double win. We had an ice cream cake...obviously shaped like a football. And I got him a Giants hoodie, he's been looking for one since I met him. The last time the Giants went to the Super Bowl on his birthday they won...so here's to hoping. Happy Birthday to the best husband ever. I love you.

January Recap

Victoria turned 13 years old on the 1st! We had a small party at her house, and she had ice cream cupcakes. Awesome. It was also Bill's birthday this month. We went over to his party. They all played 31, and in the end Mike won!

Mike and I went out to dinner with Mom and Victoria twice this month. Victoria had a chorus concert at school. She did very well. You can tell she is still very shy though.

Mike was able to get the car starter fixed in my truck finally. And I actually made time to get my hair cut! I also started back up with Therapy. So far it's going well.

I had 2 monthly OB appointments for Riley. And I also had to go to the Cardiologist twice this month. The first time they did an EKG which was fine and the second time was for an echo cardiogram. Not so pleasant, but I got the call a few hours after that everything was fine!

Only 5 and a half more weeks before baby is here!

Sophie

This teether has caused so much controversy on my birth month message boards. I didn't know that much about it, just that it was adorable and I wanted one. It's pretty expensive ($25), so I put it on my registry and hoped for the best. And guess what???? I GOT IT! I'm so excited. I just love it. But since it's been a huge topic lately, I figured I should try to see what the big deal is.

Once Upon a time, a simple story...
The Little giraffe was born on the 25th of May in the year 1961. St Sophie's day! In those days, the only animal toys available were farm animals or pet figures. That is why one day in France, a certain Monsieur RAMPEAU, who was an expert in transforming sap from the HEVEA tree using the rotational molding of rubber as a toy-making concept, came up with the idea of designing a giraffe.

Such an exotic wildlife figure would be a first on the market, and its size and shape would be ideal for a baby's small hands to grasp. Sophie the Giraffe, who looked exactly the same then as she does today, went into production on a Thursday, May 25th, whence her name. She was an immediate success.

Young mothers straightaway saw that she was a must for their children when the first signs of teething appear, Sophie the Giraffe helps baby stop crying!By simple word of mouth, the little Giraffe's fame spread. From then on in Europe, generation upon generation of children were to love hearing Sophie squeak whenever they pressed her tummy and head! Vulli, a company based in Rumilly in the Haute-Savoie Region of France has continued to keep the jealously-guarded secret of how this wonder toy is made.SOPHIE is still "traditionally" produced to this day, a process that involves more than 14 manual operations. She is made from 100% natural rubber derived from the sap of the Hevea Tree.

Why is Sophie such a huge success? Sophie the Giraffe is BABYS FIRST TOY, stimulating EACH OF HIS SENSES from the age of 3 months:

*Sight:

At the age of 3 months, a baby's eyesight is still limited and he can only make out high contrasts. The Dark and contrasting attention-catching spots all over Sophie the Giraffe's body provide visual stimulation and she soon becomes a familiar and reassuring object for baby.

*Hearing:Sophie the Giraffe's squeaker keeps baby amused and stimulates his hearing. To begin with, the funny sound Sophie makes when she is squeezed helps to stimulate baby's hearing, and then later, helps him to understand the link between cause and effect.

*Taste:

Sophie the Giraffe is made of 100% natural rubber and food paint, and is completely safe to chew, just like a feeding bottle teat. Her soft texture and numerous chewable parts (ears, horns, legs), make her perfect for soothing baby's sore gums during teething.

*Touch:

Touch is the first means a baby has of communicating with the outside world. Sophie the Giraffe's soft feel, like baby's mother's skin, stimulates physiological and emotional response that soothe baby and promote healthy growth and well-being.

*Smell:

The singular scent of natural rubber from the Hevea tree makes Sophie the Giraffe very special and easy for your child to identify amid all his other toys.

*Easy to grip:

Sophie the Giraffe's shape and 18 cm (7 inches) size are perfect for baby's small hands. She is very light, and her long legs and neck are easy for baby to grip, even from his earliest days.

Still the same, even after more than 50 years.

She hasn't dated in the slightest.

More than 30 million Sophies have been sold...

She is an undisputed star for the very young. The archetypal embodiment of the early learning toy,
Sophie the Giraffe is a must-have who enjoys widespread popularity and is genuinely loved by every parent and child. Sophie the Giraffe has become timeless and cross-generational.YOUR BABY NEEDS HER!
